Students participate in "bell ringing" for the Salvation Army - December 2011.

We are all smiles after the Spring Recital - May 23rd, 2011 (Oakwood Village East).

Mission Statement
My mission as a private studio teacher is to instruct and assist students in their technical and musical growth in ways that are inspiring, challenging, rewarding and fun. Music lessons should be a vehicle for your journey; using music in joy, to reflect, to escape and to be a better human being, share success and happiness in every community you are a part of.

I hold three recitals a year (spring, summer (aka "Kickball Recital) and holiday) which are great goals for students. I am a member of IST (Independent String Teachers of Madison) where there are usually 6 more opportunities throughout the school year for students to play in a recital hall amongst other IST teachers' students. I encourage students to find a group to play and perform with, be it a young students' Saturday group class, WYSO (Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras), or local community orchestra. My more advanced students take auditions for orchestras and compete in concerto competitions. I am very open to students getting as much exposure as they want and welcome them to partake in the opportunities other studio teachers in Madison offer.

I teach privately from my home in Madison as well as at the Goodman Community Center for Music Makers, a non-profit group.

Lesson fees:
$30/40 minutes
$45/hour

Beginning students may also start together in one time slot. (They must have the same amount of experience for this to work.)

Students and parents that participated in the 3rd Annual Kickball Recital.
(Informal recital followed by an adults vs kids game of kickball. Way to fight the mosquitos and humidity everyone!)
